Opening of the Campo del Quijote Gourmet and Handicraft Store

With great enthusiasm and firm step we start a new professional project… Opening of the new Campo del Quijote Gourmet and Craft Shop, where we promote and sell high quality products from Campo de Montiel, in Calle Santo Tomás, 39, Casa de los Estudios building, Villanueva de los Infantes (Ciudad Real). And we take the reins of the web www.campodelquijote.es, to continue with the same concept and struggle as the physical store.

After living and working for many years in the big city, and seeing the stress of life that we were living and that we were passing on to our daughter, we decided that we had to turn our life around and bet on having quality of life.In my parents’ hometown, Villahermosa, we have found the calm and quality of life we were looking for.

For this reason, in addition to the desire to return to the village, we firmly wanted to bet and take the risk of starting something there, we saw that compared to the vortex of everyday life that we had in the city, of buying fast, eating fast, in short, living fast, in the end we invested in superficial and ephemeral products, however, here, in the Campo de Montiel, it was incredible. discover the number of producers and craftsmen of such high quality that there areand that without much economic effort for our pockets, offer us the possibility of eating healthier, slower, being able to enjoy every bite, hence the birth of our Campo del Quijote Shop, whose motto can not be other than “Flavors and Craftsmanship of Legend”..

The producers and artisans who are present in our store, and little by little more are joining, are experts in their know-how, producing, collecting and processing their products in a one hundred percent handmade way, paying great attention to every detail so that the final product that the consumer receives has a unique added value.

The store is located at Calle Santo Tomás, 39, in La Casa de los Estudios, in Villanueva de los Infantes, Ciudad Real, a must-see building, a former 16th century Colegio Menor, the only one of its kind in Spain.

And as soon as the health authorities allow it, our greatest wish is to be able to offer visitors, both from inside and outside the region, tastings, samplings and other cultural activities, taking advantage of the magnificent spaces of the building, to make known our greatness in quality of food products (such as cheeses, oil, wines, essences, condiments, preserves, nuts, etc …) and crafts that we have in our land Campo de Montiel, and that we gladly offer in our store.

Finally, we cannot forget all those people who have supported us and encouraged us to carry out this project, especially we want to show our gratitude to the Asociación Tierras de Libertad, that without their presence this dream would not have been possible.
